Mono-channel Video Installation
Water tower, Le CENTQUATRE / Paris, France / 2010

Two snakes are shown in a relationship of classic dominance devouring. Only when the baby snake appears periodically in the throat of his mother, a complexity of the relationship appears entirely

The installation begins at the base of a spiral staircase, above which an image is projected onto a screen. The soundtrack is a superposition of variations of a single female voice, ethnographic recording of a lullaby from the Solomon Islands. The video runs in a palindrome loop.

The installation space is transformed into a reptilian inside. We found both in front and within an image of Ouroboros, the symbol of cyclical time and continuity of life.
